One of the neat things we learned about on our trip was about the Osprey that live in the Outer Banks. Osprey are a carnivorous bird but only eat fish. They’ll have offspring in the early spring each year, where they will grow into young adults. These young birds will fly south for two years or more before they came back to the nest. Once they do the mother bird will peck at them to leave again. 🙂 Sounds like going away to college and having to move home after not being able to find a full time job. My mother made a funny joke and pecking motion at me when we heard this story. Love you too mommy. It was cute but I thought it made an interesting parallel to everything that is going on right now.
